About Learning Unlimited
Learning Unlimited was incorporated 1 January 1993.
Mary Butler and Sam Sikes had been working together at Tulsa’s Shadow Mountain Institute's Challenge Quest program for several years prior. Challenge Quest was a program designed to offer corporations an opportunity for experience-based team building as well as leadership training.
In 1992, changes in healthcare caused Shadow Mountain to pull in the reins on its non-treatment programs (i.e. the Challenge Quest program) and Mary and Sam were asked to change roles to focus on the hospital's primary mission. Neither was interested in releasing the customer base they had developed through Challenge Quest, so they left with Shadow Mountain's blessing to form Learning Unlimited.
In 1997, a new Partner was added to the firm in the form of one Glen Olson, former Regional Training Manager for Kinko’s, Inc. Subsequent company additions to sustain and respond to Learning Unlimited’s rapid growth included, Mike Todd as Sales Director in 1999, and Brock Fisher as CEO in 2000.
In 2003 Sam Sikes departed Learning Unlimited Corporation to pursue other business and personal interests. He still works with Learning Unlimited regularly, accepting speaking engagement assignments, and training assignments. He will always be known, and referred to fondly, as a Co-Founder of Learning Unlimited.
In 2005 we experienced many internal business structure changes. Glen Olson and Brock Fisher accepted greater responsibilities in training and curriculum design and have specialized in oilfield personnel leadership development. They are currently contributing to Learning Unlimited’s growth in that industry.
In 2007 Mike Todd became the new President of Learning Unlimited. Under his leadership, Learning Unlimited has changed physical locations, (occupying the 5th floor in Remington Tower.); added 3 full time facilitators, and one part-time office employee; and implemented new direction in product and training offerings. Mary Butler, ever our nurturing coach, mentor and Co-Founder, then became Vice President. (Visit our Biographies section and meet our world-class Trainer/Consultants and support Staff!)
